Family-
I was born in Mersing, Johor. Raised by my father, Mohd Fobilah bin Ton and my mother, Hapsah binti Ariffin. My father is a retired music teacher in local primary school in Kota Tinggi, Johor while my mother is a teacher in a religious school in Gelang Patah, Johor. I have 1 elder sister, Norhafizah and 3 younger siblings, Zulaika, Norkhalidah, and Mohd Helmi. My parents have lived in Kota Tinggi, Mersing, and Gelang Patah for the past 27 years.
Education-
My first school was in Tadika Kemas LKTP Air Tawar 4, Kota Tinggi. By that time, my father was still a music teacher in the primary school. Me and my elder sister studied in the same school as my father's working place from standard 1 until mid-year of standard 2 when my father was finally retired. Later, we moved to Kampung Sri Pantai, Mersing and my mother was applying for her job as a teacher in a religious school. I finished my standard 2 and standard 3 in Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Pantai and then the whole family moved to Gelang Patah as my mother got her job and ordered to teach there. I studied in Sekolah Kebangsaan Gelang Patah since standard 4 until standard 6 where I sat for the UPSR examination and I got 4A's and 1 B. I was offered to study in Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar (a.k.a English College) but I have to decline the offer due to financial problems. I studied in Sekolah Menengah Gelang Patah from form 1 until form 5. I got only 3A's for my PMR examination and also 3A's for my SPM examination. After finished with SPM, i worked as a factory worker for 2 month and was ordered to join the PLKN (National Service Training Program).
The PLKN takes about 3 month. Exactly 2 weeks after returning from the program (which was held in Mersing), I was offered to further my study for STPM examinatoin where I have to continue to study in form 6 for 2 years. I only got 1 A for my STPM exam, however I luckily been offered to further my study in Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) for a degree in graphic design in 2006. I studied for Bachelor Degree (HONS) of Art & Design (Graphic Design & Digital Media) in UiTM for 6 semester which is 3 years. Finally, I ended my study in May 2009.
Art & Design-
Since my childhood, I like to draw cartoons and my addiction to draw leads me to add art as an additonal subject for my SPM and STPM exams. Surprisingly, I excell for the art subject in both exams. In 2006, I've learned that art is not only about drawing, as I studied in UiTM, I realized that art is related to design, and design offers more platforms to apply art. However my skills in design is mainly photo manipulation, and also digital illustration.
Working-
1) Lecturer - Neo Art Institute
After graduated from UiTM, I went back to Johor and started searching for suitable job. Unfortunately, i can't find any job related to Art and Design for about a half year. Finally on March 2010, i got a job as a lecturer in Neo Art Institute, Johor Bahru. Here, my job was to teach the students about basic art and design skills and understandings, as well as training them on digital illustration, videography, color study and much more.
2) Digital Illustrator/ Colorist/ Audio Cutter/ Code Assigner -My Iman Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd
I planned to move to this company when I even still working in the Neo Art Institute. After forwarding my resign letter, I quickly accept the offer from this company. This company was pioneered by 3 Chinese Muslims. The company's products was mainly on Islamic technologies such as the Islamic handphone, The smart reading pen, and much more.
3) Visual Supervisor - Corus Hotel, KL
My career here are short-lived. Even though the job title says "supervisor", i don't really have anyone to supervise, I just have to supervise the task and jobs given, and make sure its done on time. Which means, I AM THE ONLY ONE DOING ALL THE THINGS. i decided to leave the 5 star rated hotel and move on to the next company. yeah, I'm a bit picky.
4) Publishing Coordinator - Endona Corporation Sdn Bhd
As a part of marketing department, i learned a lot in this company on how to communicate with vendors, clients, and even managers. My job in this company are mainly website maintenance, designing, and printing marketing materials. I worked here for about 3-4 month before i got an offer to become a lecturer again.
5) Lecturer/Trainer - SG Academy (M) Sdn Bhd
Here I am, as for now, I am a lecturer (once more) in this college, teaching Visual & Animation Multimedia for Skills Diploma Level 1-4 under the Ministry of Human Resource.
